Memorial Services

The Arboretum provides a natural, tranquil setting to remember and celebrate the life of a loved one.  We have three peaceful outdoor locations appropriate for a memorial service.

Water’s Edge Stage

You and your guests can enjoy our lovely deck overlooking the one-acre lily pond and pine curtain. This outdoor venue accommodates up to 100 people.

The Hilltop Gazebo

The vintage styled gazebo sits atop the formal gardens and offers incredible views that are sure to make your private event bloom. This outdoor venue accommodates up to 75 people.

The Meditation Garden

This restful garden is tucked into a quiet, woodland setting surrounded by foliage and the subtle sounds of nature. This outdoor venue accommodates up to 35 people.

The Entire Garden

The entire Arboretum gardens may be rented on Mondays when we are closed to the public.

It is always good to have a back-up plan in case of poor weather.

Tents may be permitted in some locations pending approval by the executive director.  If tents are utilized, they may only be secured with water barrels.  Stakes into the ground may hit irrigation lines, heads or electrical lines and are not permitted.

All flower arrangements must have fresh, live flowers.  No loose petals of any kind are permitted.

Bird seed, rice, paper confetti, balloons and other non-natural items cannot be used for decoration or used for tossing at the bride and groom at their send off.  Bubbles, leaf potpourri, butterfly releases are permitted.  Please discuss your choice with the executive director.

Decorations cannot be hung from the trees or stuck in the ground.  Monofilament (fishing line) cannot be used to hang decorations.  Wedding arches will be permitted after approval by the executive director.

The LANC executive director will be your main contact but is not an event planner or wedding coordinator.  If you desire this type of service, you may wish to contact an independent planner.  Please be sure that your planner is familiar with our garden guidelines and rules.

A security deposit of equal to ½ of the rental fee is due at the time of booking to secure your reservation.  If there are damages to the grounds or property, the fees are deducted from your deposit.  If the damage exceeds the deposit, you are responsible to pay for all damages incurred.

Payments for rentals must be paid in full 2 weeks prior to the event.

Your security deposit will be mailed to you up to 45 days after your event minus any applicable deductions.  Payments can be made by credit card, cash or mailing a check.  Payments made by check must be made at least 14 days in advance of the event.
