So many people take pleasure in nature—from walking the grounds, supporting natural studies or even selling bird houses that will appeal to our native species—that we have a role for everyone who chooses to volunteer daily, weekly or monthly at the Longview Arboretum.
To manage a park of this size, and the various activities that revolve around it, we need volunteers committed each week to aid the success of the Longview Arboretum. Even if the schedule allows for just an hour or two, we know that the culture and energy of the Longview Arboretum will appeal to volunteers and it’s our hope to create a vibrant community within the Longview Arboretum and Nature Center Volunteer Guild.
Here are some ways the professional and life skills of people who chose to volunteer can be utilized at the Longview Arboretum:
- Docents for Arboretum tours
- Groundskeeping
- Seasonal Event Programming
- Facility Maintenance
- Greeting Guests to the Arboretum
- Front Desk
